Eligibility for ICT Awards
A) Best Software Product
This Award is presented to the company that has the most holistic impact Software Product. Holistic in terms of its innovativeness, revenue, impact to market, and quality.
Eligibility:
- The company owns the Intelectual Property (IP)
- The company is a Malaysian Bumiputera company (60% majority shares held by Bumiputera)
B) Best Animation/Games
This Award is presented to the creative animation/games product that has high commercialization potential. Animation product can come in the form of a TV Series, or Feature Film. A games product include console games, web based games, mobile games, MMORPG type games etc.
Eligibility:
- The company owns the Intelectual Property (IP)
- The company is a Malaysian Bumiputera company (60% majority shares held by Bumiputera)
C) Best New Media Application/Content
This Award is presented to a new media application/content that has created impact to society with a sustainable business model.
Eligibility:
- The company owns the Intelectual Property (IP)
- New Media Content refers to websites that provide content such as news, food, entertainment, and etc.
- New Media application refers to websites that uses applications to create content in their website effectively
- The company is a Malaysian Bumiputera company (60% majority shares held by Bumiputera)
D) Most Innovative Company
This Award is presented to the company that can highlight the innovativeness of the company from any aspect. Innovation could be in the form of Product, Process, Systems, Services, Models and Methods.
Eligibility:
- The company owns the Intelectual Property (IP)
- The company is a Malaysian Bumiputera company (60% majority shares held by Bumiputera)
E) Best Start-Up Company
This Award is presented to a company that is less than 3 years old (Date of incorporation not earlier than 1 November 2008) but has sown potential in terms of its development, either via recognition, potential clients, or even revenue.
Eligibility:
- The company owns the Intelectual Property (IP)
- The company is a Malaysian Bumiputera company (60% majority shares held by Bumiputera)
F) Best Mobile Application/Content
This Award is presented to the company that has produced an innovative mobile content and applications that has served the market locally and/or globally. The product should serve a need within the market that it is trying to serve.
Eligibility:
- The company owns the Intelectual Property (IP)
- Mobile Content/Applications are things that are being accessed via a mobile device
- The company is a Malaysian Bumiputera company (60% majority shares held by Bumiputera)
G) Best Young Technopreneur
This Award is presented to the Technopreneur under the age of 30 with the most potential based on its historical records to date. This person is deemed as the person to watch within the Bumiputera Community.
Eligibility:
- Person must be a Bumiputera under age of 30 at the time of nomination closed.
- Has business in ICT and held majority shares of the company
H) NEF-Awani Tun Dr. Mahathir Award (Not open for Nomination- by Special Committee Selection)
This Award is presented to the individual/company that has been iconic or made a significant impact in terms of leadership and contribution in the industry and community at large.

In the spirit to ensure a better ICT ecosytem, we are introducing a People’s Choice Awards where we invite EVERYONE to nominate and vote their favourite ICT related product/services in the following categories:

This Award is presented to the most favourite Malaysia/international Telecommunications company based on public view of its service delivery, customer service, and brand perception.
2) Favourite Online Banking
This Award is presented to the most favorite Malaysia/international Online Banking based on public view of its level of service, customer service, depth of service, and brand perception.

This Award is presented to the most favourite Malaysia/international e-government that has impacted peoples lives the most, level of service, and brand perception.

This Award is presented to the most favourite Malaysian/international e-services that has impacted peoples lives the most, level of service, and brand perception.
5) Favourite Entertainment Portal/Blog
This Award is presented to the most favourite entertainment portal based on its community, content, engagement with people and brand perception.
6) Favourite E-Community
This Award is presented to the most favourite e-community initiative that is most impact to the public. It can be in the form of any online (facebook page/groups, forum).
7) Favourite Social Networking Platform
This Award is presented to the most favourite Social Networking Platform that is most impact to the public. It can be in the form of online and/or mobile.
8 ) Favourite ICT Device Brand
This Award is presented to the most favourite ICT Device Brand that is most impact to the public. It can be in the form of hardwares, gadgets, phones.
